Fairytale of Berlin - Copenhagen
at Råhuset , Onkel Dannys Plads 7, 1711 Copenhagen V
September 7th to September 24th 2008
curated by Janine Bean and Matthias Bergemann
co curator Katja Patt
The works were presented on the wall, on the floor, in
the hallway and outdoors in a thematically ordered fashion.
The curators purposely chose Berlin-born artists as well as national
and international "art-exiles" - the chosen artists have their
origins in
Germany, Romania, Canada, Switzerland, Bulgaria and the United States.
They identify with living and working in Berlin in the most different
of ways, all together creating a subtle and fresh approach: Berlin as a
new or old home is the source of inspiration and friction.
We would like to thank:
For the show in Copenhagen - Laila Koust Hansen at Raahuset, Katja Patt
/ Berlin, Kirsti Bartelt / Berlin, Achim and Annelie Biermann, Karoline
and Sören Biermann, Peggy Schoenegge, Kirsti Bartelt, Wolfgang Kriegs,
Thomas Tiecke, Karl Hans Haschke, of course the artists and all helpers
of the exhibition in Copenhagen.
